Master Bedroom Refresh

I've been able to do a few master bedrooms lately, and it's been so much fun! This is a room where I don't have to consider family friendly fabrics and furniture. No; this is an adult space that can be beautiful, serene, and even have items that are breakable!

This master had beautiful bones; it just needed to get all styled and pretty. The homeowners did a DIY shiplap wall and painted their espresso bedroom furniture with my favorite recommendation: General Finishes milk paint. Paint and new hardware took their matching set to a whole new level!

We dressed up the tv area with some greens, a lamp, and a few accessories. Loving the Hearth and Hand baskets on the wall!

And those round mirrors!!! They really help to balance everything out and are $25 from Kirklands of all places!! :)

Waunakee Project: Living Room Reveal

What a blast to see this living room and entry transformed! Paint, new furniture, lighting and accessories took this custom Waunakee home to another level.

Here are the before shots:

Now, see how a coat of fresh paint and new furniture made this space feel open and bright.

We lightened up this space all while adding pops of color and interest throughout. We also added extra seating with two moveable ottomans, which are perfect for kids. That's my secret to keeping my furniture in good condition--poufs and ottomans for the kids to sit on!

Master Retreat

This room really got the star treatment--paint on the walls, new furniture, new lighting, and new accessories!

The 90s was marked by a trend for red master bedrooms. Remember those days?? Now, the trend is more serene--a light and bright space that provides instant peace when you walk in.

Here's the room before:

This couple let me have free reign. Their only prerequisite was to make it pretty. :)

Ahh, so fresh! We kept everything light and neutral while adding pops of blue, pink, and gold throughout. The paint color is Lattice by Sherwin Williams, bedding is from Pottery Barn and nightstands and lamps are from Joss and Main!

Cottage Grove Project

This new build was already sitting pretty with wood beams, beautiful hardwoods and high ceilings; It just needed that extra push.

We started with adding in comfortable seating purchased from Brown and Beam in Middleton Wi. With 5 boys, this family needed all the seating they could get! We also made sure everything was washable.

We also flanked either side of the fireplace with white cabinets to mimic the look of built-ins. Two matching mirrors bring symmetry, while the differing accessories bring interest.

For the dining area, we got a new sisal rug that could withstand spaghetti nights, and we recovered the chairs in a thick ticking fabric.

I also got to give the back mudroom a little love!

Fireplace Makeover

This little spot in the kitchen got a little facelift. Check out this side by side!

Progress! New flooring, new stacked stone, and a killer mantle from Wayfair. We also removed the side corner cabinet and replaced it with a white desk for bill paying and homework!

And like for every project, we styled it for a complete, put-together look!
